Praise and Worship

What a Blessed night of fellowship and song. This evening, we met at New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Gainesville. 5:30 to 7:00pm we enjoyed each others company while eating a selection of soups, salad, and desserts. As usual the food was plenty and delicious. We retreated to the sancuary and settled in for praise and worship. Pastor Ron Brown opened in prayer and played a song on the key board. I had an pleasure of singing Precious Lord with Passtor Ron. We had a wonderful time singing and praising Jesus Christ. Our friends from New Beginnings were wonderful hosts and I would like to thank them for having us. We will be back at 7 Main St. LeRoy next week for our regular service. I would like to remind everyone that when a month has a fifth Sunday we will be praising and worshiping with different area churches. We encourage everyone to surround yourselves with good brothers and sisters in Christ, epically as you see the day approaching. Thank you Lord Jesus for this Blessed night..... I have a special prayer request for everyone....My dear friend Fran, has a close friend who is in need of prayer. Please pray for Marion, pray for healing or what ever God's will is for her. She is very dear to Fran and she has a personal relationship with the Lord. We know that she has had a blessed life and her body is tired. We ask that you pray the Lord bring her peace and bring her rest. While your praying ask the Lord to bring peace to Fran's aching heart. Thank you and God Bless.......

The Love of God

A wonderful evening service tonight. Somewhat subdued but Spirit filled. Tonight we broke away from the "Fire and Brimstone" and looked into God's love for us. Our scripture reading was 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Most people have heard this portion of scripture sometime in their life. It is read at weddings, you hear it in songs, see it on greeting cards, and it hangs on walls in picture frames. The title of the message was "luv-u - Watered Down Love". I asked that we examine ourselves and see if we really love the way our Lord commands us.
God is Love, 1 John 4:8 reads: Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. I read 1 John 4:7-21 and we concluded from this portion of scripture that God is Love (vs. 8), God lives in us (vs. 13), we love because God loved us first (vs. 19), and we are commanded to love (vs. 21). We backed up two chapters to 1 John 2:15-17. This is a warning to us. Do not to love the world and what is in it, for it is not from God. We continued to Matthew 22:34-40 and learned that Jesus said that the greatest command was to Love the Lord with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind (vs. 37) and the second was to Love your neighbor as yourself (vs. 39).
We were on a roll now. God is love, He dwells within us so love is in us. But what kind of love is this love of God? Self Sacrificing Love. affection, goodwill, benevolence, brotherly love. I wanted everyone to know what self sacrificing love really was. We turned to Genesis 22:1-10. This is where God asks Abraham to sacrifice Issac, his only son. Abraham loved the Lord our God so much that he took Issac to the mountain to sacrifice him to God. Self Sacrificing Love. Next we looked at the book of Job. After everything Job went through, loosing all his live stock, servants, and family Job, in his love for God, would not curse God (1:22). He did not turn his back on God but prayed and continued to remain steadfast in his relationship with our Lord. Self Sacrificing Love. Finally, we turned to Acts 7:54-60. The story of the stoning of Stephan. True love for Jesus. Stephan was full of the Holy Spirit (vs.55) filled with God's love. Then Stephan fell to his knees and ask God to forgive those who were stoning him as he drew his last breath. Self Sacrificing Love.
Is Jesus in your heart? Do you love as Christ command's us to? Can you not love the thing's of this world? Are you ready to die for God? God loves us so much He sent His only Son to die for us. Love your God with all your heart, soul and mind. Self Sacrificing Love...............
This was a short sermon but powerful. I pray that we can love one another as God loves us. Be blessed this week and may God's peace and understanding be with all.

Praise Be To God

As the title states, "Praise Be To God", another Spirit filled night. Tonight's message was titled Spirits-Good and Bad ? Our scripture reading was 1 John 4:1-6. In this scripture we are told to test the spirits and along with twenty two other scriptures we learned what spirits are from God and which ones follow Satan. We talked about when Satan was cast to earth, why he was, and who came with him (Isa. 14:12-15, Ezk. 28:12-15 and Rev. 12:4). We established that spirits have Intelligence, Emotion, and Will (1Pet. 1:12, Ja. 2-19, and Luk. 8:28-31). Angles are obedient to God, a lesson we all can learn from them. Deamons seek to destroy and decieve anyone who worships God (1 Pet. 5:8), they are evil (Mat. 10:1), they are angels of Satan (Rev. 12:19), they battle Godly angels (Rev. 12:7), they attack Christians (2 Cor 12:7), and they take on the physical form (2 Cor. 11:14-15). Spirits are on the earth. Some call them ghosts. A spirit is a spirit some are to protect us and some are trying to destroy us. But we have the greatest spirit of all. The gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, and through Him and by Him we can overcome any spirit of this world. 1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Do you have Jesus Christ in your heart? Have you been blessed with the gift of the Holy Spirit? God Bless to all. Moving Forward

Another Blessed service this evening. All the glory and praise go to God. The Holy Spirit was in attendance again this week. Our service was, I believe, fruitful. Tonight's message was titled "Holidazed" and our scripture reading was Leviticus 23 : 1-44. Are the seven feast's a prophetic look at what's to come? We searched through scripture and the traditions of the Iseralites to understand what God required of His children. We came to understand that the first four feast's have been fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Jesus was crucified on Passover ( the blood of the lamb ), He was buried on Unleavened Bread ( Jesus was pure and without sin ), Jesus rose from the dead on First Fruits ( the "replanting" ), and He sent the gift of the Holy Spirit on the Feast of Weeks. If the first four feast have come to be what do the last three feast's mean? Food for thought ... another day another sermon.
We shared in Communion and had praise and worship. During praise and worship we had conformation that our God answer's our prayers. We prayed for a young couple on Wednesday. They have been trying to have a child to no avail. Doctors, test's, suggestions and finally an appointment with a fertility specialist. Praise be to God ... He is the best doctor ... no fertility specialist needed, she found out Friday she is pregnant. How awesome is that? Now, I ask that everyone pray that they will have a healthy pregnancy and that they are guided by the Spirit in raising their child. WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE SERVE ........

Our First Service

What an awesome God I serve. Tonight we had our first service and had 13 in attendance. The Spirit of the Lord was present and an excellent message was delivered. Tonight's sermon was titled "Wisdom Through Fear". Our scripture reading was from the book of Proverbs Chapter 2 Versus 1-10. Proverb 1:7 Tells us The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. We continued to look into scripture at some of the people who feared the Lord. Once we established that we need to have a "real" fear of God, we looked into the benefit of this fear.
Wisdom is the gift our Lord gives us. He wants for us to have knowledge, discretion, discernment, understanding, and humility. (see Pro. 8:12, 10:13, 10:23, and 11:2) Once we start gaining in wisdom we start an upright walk with the Lord. As we walk an upright walk, the Lord shines through us. Proverb 7:10 claims victory for the upright, a shield for the blameless, a guarded walk, and protection for the faithful.
As the sermon came to a close I asked that we all examine ourselves. Do we really fear the Lord? Do we seek the wisdom the Lord promises us? Are we willing to come into total submission to God? The promise of wisdom and all it's benefits are worth getting on your knees and asking for.
If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I ask you to stop in and see us. The kingdom of heaven is for everyone who will put their faith in Jesus. It's a free gift.
